When you choose to cruise from Miami, you're departing from the world's busiest cruise port. Over 4 million passengers leave from Miami for the Caribbean and other destinations every year. All of the biggest cruise lines have trips leaving from Miami, including Norwegian, Carnival, Celebrity, Royal Caribbean and Crystal, as well as less well known companies Azamara and Oceania. In 2011 Costa Cruises will return to Miami to offer Caribbean cruises, too.
Miami Cruise Guide provides you with all the information you need about the upcoming Miami cruise calendar, the cruise ships that depart from Miami and current Miami cruise deals. We can also help with getting to the Miami cruise terminals and hotels in the area for places to stay before or after your cruise.
By far, the most popular reason for choosing to cruise from Miami is to take a Caribbean cruise. Several times a week cruise ships depart for the Caribbean, usually either on a eastern or western itinerary and for either 5 or 7 nights. Eastern Caribbean cruises often include visits to islands such as Puerto Rico, St. Maarten, St. Kitts and the Bahamas. Western Caribbean cruises can include stops in Key West, Jamaica, Grand Cayman and any of several cities along the Mexico coast (such as Cozumel, Costa Maya and Playa Del Carmen).
For those cruisers interested in taking longer cruises beyond the Caribbean, Miami is an option for your starting point. If you're ready for an extended 13-15 day cruise, there are cruises that will take you down to and through the Panama Canal and up the Pacific coast to Los Angeles, San Diego or San Francisco, usually with stops along Mexico's west coast in places like Acapulco and/or Cabo San Lucas. A couple of times each year there are also opportunities to take eastbound transatlantic cruises from Miami, with minimums of 11 days and visits to spots in Spain, Portugal, Belgium or France before ending in London or Barcelona. You'll even find occasional trips to the Amazon departing from Miami!
Cruises from Miami visit a wide variety of ports throughout the Caribbean, Mexico and Central America. We have schedules for all the Miami cruises with stops at popular destinations such as Cozumel (Mexico), Nassau (Bahamas), Jamaica, Key West, Antigua, Honduras, Belize, Cayman Islands and Barbados.
