According to a 12/08/15 Miami Today report, Miami County Commissioners have approved an extended agreement with MSC Cruises that include the cruise line’s expansion of operation from PortMiami. The Italian cruise line already operates from Miami. Their MSC Divina will sail from Miami year-round this year, and they’ve announced that the MSC Seaside, which is currently still under construction, will also sail exclusively from Miami beginning in December of 2017. The MSC Divina returned to the Port of Miami last week and it looks like she’ll be sticking around for awhile. Last summer, MSC shifted the Divina from Miami to the Mediterranean, but now the Geneva-based cruise line says that they have a renewed commitment to the North American cruise market and will sail the Divina from Miami year-round.
