Port of Miami Receives More Funds for Growth

PortMiami is getting $33 million over five years in the form of grants from the state to help fund expansions to the busy port’s infrastructure.

The $33 million will go towards the expansion of Cruise Terminal F and the acquisition of additional cranes for the port’s cargo terminals. The plan for Terminal F is to create a “mega” facility that can process over 5,000 cruise passenger simultaneously.  Continue reading

Cruise Visitor Center Planned for Miami International Airport

plane-icon-2According to an 10/13/15 Miami Today article, Dade County Commissioners recently approved plans to develop a cruise travel center at Miami International Airport. The center will ease the transition between the airport and the cruise terminal, allowing cruise lines to process passengers and their luggage when they arrive at the airport. Continue reading
