Carnival Cruise Line’s Most Innovative Ship Yet Will Sail From Miami

CarnivalVista_PR1jpgCarnival Cruise Lines just announced in a February 12th press release that the Carnival Vista, the line’s largest and most innovative ship yet will make its home port in Miami.

The Vista will sail from Miami year round, with six and eight day Caribbean itineraries.  Six day cruises will include ports of call in Ocho Rios, Grand Cayman, and Cozumel. The eight day cruises will have varied destinations including Aruba, Curacao, Bonaire, Grand Turk, San Juan, St. Kitts, St. Maarten, and La Romana.   The ship is currently under construction and is scheduled to be finished and ready to start cruising from Miami in December of 2016.

It sounds like the ship will further Carnival’s image as the “fun” cruise line. Some the new features the new cruise ship will have include a suspended open-air cycling experience called the “SkyRide”, an IMAX theater (the first ever on a ship), a water tube slide, and an onboard brewery.

The Carnival Breeze, which currently sails from Miami, will be shifted to Galveston Texas in 2016.
